Mac Smith
Born in Cambridge, MA, my heart is now happily split between my home in Minneapolis's Longfellow neighborhood and the mountains of Colorado. I've lived on both coasts and many places in-between, fueling my passion for travel. It’s a pursuit that has taught me that, at our core, people are much the same wherever you go—a belief that grounds my approach to real estate.
My life is full. I love weekend road trips, exploring summer art and food festivals, and losing myself in a good book. I also fancy myself a solid cook, always eager to try a new cuisine. I live with my wife, Kristen, who directs adult housing at Catholic Charities, our high school senior, Leo (gasp!), and our two pets: Stanley, a blue Great Dane, and Finch, a calico cat.
Before entering real estate, I spent 20 years in community and home health nursing, gaining extensive experience helping families navigate times of transition. That background shapes my work today. I approach real estate in a collaborative, collegial manner—it’s a team effort. You tell me where you want to go, and I'll find us the best way to get there.
I specialize in older homes, particularly in S. Minneapolis, NE Minneapolis, and the central, older parts of the Twin Cities. They truly speak to me. I also love working with first-time homebuyers—they are so fun!
My goal for every client is to provide exemplary communication and to be absolutely approachable and honest. A win, in my book, is when everyone leaves the table satisfied they were treated well and their goals were obtained.
